St. Francis Friends of the Poor Secures LinkNYC Ad Across All Five Boroughs of New York City

The LinkNYC ad is a collaboration with nonprofit partner, F.Y. Eye.

St. Francis Friends of the Poor is honored to be showcased on the F.Y. Eye PSA Network, a free community media cooperative democratizing advertising for nonprofits in New York City. Our PSA is now actively displayed on over 1,800 digital screens within NYC's nonprofit facilities and LinkNYC kiosks until March 1.

Linda Flores, Development and Communications Manager, had this to say about the partnership:

Having the opportunity to learn about F.Y. Eye and its bold mission to aid New York nonprofits by providing the space to advertise in such a competitive market at no cost to us was beyond what we could’ve imagined. We are truly impressed by their team’s dedication to understanding who we are and what we stand for. Being able to share our tenant’s stories while also modeling the power of permanent supportive housing is exciting to say the least! We are looking forward to seeing Myrna’s sweet face light up the city!
— Linda Flores, Development & Communications Manager

We are thrilled to feature Myrna and the power of permanent supportive housing. After being referred to us by an outpatient facility and knowing her as a faithful parishioner of nearby St. Francis of Assisi Church, Myrna became part of our St. Francis Family. Myrna is a lovely woman with sweet and caring characteristics that touch each and every one she meets. Today, she fills her time with art, poetry, and exercise groups, as well as serving as a loyal friend to many of her neighbors. Upon stepping into the art room of Residence 1, you may find a collection of her flower still lives, and at her leisure reading some of her most beloved poems.

“I am so happy to help spread the word about St. Francis and how much Fr. Tom has helped me. They are good people, everybody, all the staff here are my favorite. This is my home. I feel safe and grateful to live here for all these years. Fr. McVean, Fr. Felice, and Fr. Tom have done so much for us. I just want everyone to know.”

– Myrna, St. Francis Friends tenant
