Our Services
We are a caring community that supports each other.
Each of our three residences is staffed by an interdisciplinary care management team consisting of a nurse, two activities coordinators, a government benefits specialist, part-time psychiatrists, visiting medical doctors, and social work supervisors, who ensure that tenants receive the comprehensive care they need.
Every weekday morning, tenants are encouraged to check in with the nurse and their case manager to ensure they take their medications as prescribed and manage their money responsibly. These check-ins also allow staff to develop trusting relationships with the tenants and quickly address any concerns that arise.
Our community comes together through:
A robust arts program that encourages tenants to express and share their creativity
Social and cultural outings to local art galleries and museums, movie theaters, pool halls, farmers’ markets and the like
Healthy living activities, such as yoga, Pilates, aerobics, dance, drumming, walking groups, and meditation
Community-building opportunities, such as weekly Tenants’ Council meetings where tenants come together to learn how to respectfully voice their concerns, advocate for themselves, and practice peaceful conflict resolution; and the Night Lounge, which is run by the tenants and provides an opportunity for them to relax, socialize, watch TV, play cards and other games while enjoying light refreshments with each other
Skill-building activities, such as healthy eating, laundry groups, personal care, computer classes, budgeting, and reading/current events groups
Seasonal day trips to area parks and historical sites
Referral and Admission Guidelines
For over 45 years, the St. Francis Residences have proudly supported individuals who face challenges managing their psychiatric illness and maintaining stable housing. Our mission is to provide a safe, supportive community where residents can thrive.
While most of our residents are referred by social service professionals, we are happy to work directly with individuals and their families to complete a referral. Please feel free to contact our Intake Manager for more information.
St. Francis offers case management support and a variety of wellness and community activities Monday through Friday, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. If you or someone you know requires 24-hour support, more structured care, or specialized substance abuse treatment, we can help connect you with more appropriate alternative housing options.
